Hygiene Appointments
We recommend you visit us twice a year for a cleaning :)
During this appointment a hygienist will clean the plaque, tartar and stain that have built up on the teeth or under the gums. This can range from a mild plaque removal to deep scaling that may require local anesthetic. Our hygienists are studied, licensed and qualified to administer “freezing” to a patient that may need it. Most patients do not have deep gum pockets and a regular “cleaning” is all that is required.

We are proud to be highly trained in orthodontics in our office. We have taken years of courses and continue to do so to give our patients nice straight teeth. We are licensed providers in Invisalign which is a set of clear trays that are designed to straighten teeth. We also provide braces treatment to our younger patients and those that are not Invisalign candidates.
Restorative Dentistry

This is a division of dentistry that describes any kind of filling appointment. If a tooth is broken or decayed it will require a filling. There are two types of materials used one being the “tooth colored resin” and the other being a “silver” filling.
SERVICES OVERVIEW
Inlays
This type of restoration is similar to a filling but differs in the fact that the filling material is made at the lab and the hole in the tooth gets filled with a gold or porcelain material.
Veneers
This is a porcelain face that is bonded to the front of a tooth to improve its’ appearance and occasionally it’s’ size and alignment.
Crowns
This is a full coverage type of cap that goes over a tooth after we have prepared the tooth for it. It can be made out of porcelain, gold or a combination of both. It is often done after a root canal or when a tooth is so broken down that it is weak and will not withstand pressure.
Bridges
This type of lab fabricated restoration is made to replace a missing tooth. It can be made of Porcelain, gold and commonly a combination of both. The teeth on either side are prepared and the lab is sent a model so they can make the bridge. A bridge requires you to floss under it to keep it clean.
Dentures
This is a removable option to replace missing teeth. We make full dentures or partial dentures depending on how many teeth a patient is missing.
Implants
This is the most recommended way to replace a missing tooth today. A titanium implant is placed in the bone where the tooth is missing and after a few months of healing a crown is placed on this implant. Implants are used to support crowns, bridges and dentures. They are highly successful and stay with you for life.
Sealants
A Sealant is a clear varnish applied to the chewing surfaces of permanent molars. This varnish remains in the valleys of the molars. It prevents bacteria in plaque from being able to get deep into the valleys of the teeth and causing cavities.
Root Canals
This procedure removes the nervous tissue from the inside of a crown and roots of a tooth. It is done when a tooth is severely infected or inflamed and when a tooth is so broken down that we need to place a post inside of the roots to rebuild it.
Oral Surgery
On occasion teeth need to be taken out and that is a treatment that we provide in our office unless the extraction is going to be very complex. Patients are treated gently and careful follow up is done with each and every extraction case.
Whitening
Customized trays are made just for the patient and gel is inserted into the trays and they are worn to bed nightly for 3-4 weeks. The result is a gorgeous white smile.
This is a branch of dentistry where the focus is placed on making your smile look more appealing. The procedures in this class of dentistry involve tooth whitening, veneers, crowns, simple tooth colored bonding to help reshape a tooth or cover a stain as well as orthodontics like Invisalign. We provide all of this dentistry in our office. We take pride in the smiles that leave our office. We are not happy unless our patients are happy with their smile.
Bite Plane Therapy
Often patients grind or clench their teeth which can affect the teeth and the TMJ joint. After careful assessment it is determined whether or not the patient’s symptoms can be alleviated by a bite plane and one is made. It is usually worn nightly.
Sport Guards
Athletes that play contact sports should always have a mouth guard that fits well to prevent teeth from chipping breaking or worse, being knocked out.
