Dr. Nada Haidar

grew up in Dartmouth. Her family moved to Halifax when she began her Dalhousie education. She began her education by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. After completing a chemistry degree she was accepted into Dalhousie Dental School and obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1997. She is a very proud alumnus of Dalhousie University. Her connection to Dalhousie continues today, as she is a part time clinical instructor at the dental school.

Nada is a caring and dedicated dentist. Having two children makes her a natural with children and adults alike. She continues to take dental courses and has a very special interest in orthodontics. After extensive education she provides braces and invisalign to many of her patients.

Taking care of smiles and keeping her patients healthy is something Dr. Haidar takes very seriously. She gives generously of her time to many volunteer organizations and is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, Nova Scotia Dental Association, Advanced member in the International Association of Orthodontics, and has appeared on television discussing dentistry.

When she is not practicing in her busy clinic she spends all of her time with family. She can often be spotted at Martock skiing or golfing at one of many of Nova Scotia’s beautiful courses with her husband and two children.

Dr. Trish Brady

was born and raised in Halifax. After high school she completed a Bachelor of Science with a major in Chemistry from St. F.X. University. During her time at St.F.X. Trish played on the varsity soccer team. Following her undergraduate degree, Trish attended Dalhousie University for her Dentistry degree, and graduated in 2007.

Trish has a strong family connection with dentistry. Her grandfather had a long career as a general dentist here in Halifax, and her father is an Oral Surgeon at the VG hospital. Trish also has 2 sisters who chose dentistry as a career path, and she met her husband James while in dental school (they were classmates).

Trish has a gentle and calming demeanor, which are great qualities in a dentist! She is sure to greet you with a smile and put you at ease during your visit. She enjoys the variety of practicing general dentistry. Whether it be a filling, root canal or extraction, she takes great pride in her work.

When she’s not at work, Trish is busy being a mom to her two young children Jack and Ellen. In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer and spending time with her family at her parents’ cottage on Grand Lake.

Dr. Carla Sherman

was born in Halifax but grew up in Alberta. She returned to Nova Scotia after high school to begin her university career, completing an undergraduate degree at St. Francis Xavier University in 2004 and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Dalhousie University in 2009. After dental school, Carla was accepted into and completed a General Practice Residency program at the University of Western Ontario which focused on Emergency and hospital-based dentistry for adults and children.

Now that she’s back in the Maritimes, Carla enjoys sharing her time between Chain Lake Dental Center, Tantallon Dental Centre, and teaching as a part-time clinical instructor at Dalhousie University Dental School. As you can see, she likes to stay busy!

Dr. Carla is friendly, fun, and great at her job. Helping patients make informed decisions is essential to her practice; she is very thorough. Your oral and overall health is very important to her! Providing quality dental care for all patients, including children and patients with special needs, is something Carla is passionate about.

When she’s not at work Carla loves to spend time with her husband. They enjoy relaxing together but are also fanatics about fitness, spending time outdoors, traveling afar, and taking care of their old-Halifax home.
